Pedro Veracruz and Juanita Tejeda
As a boy Pedro Veracruz first visited Texas during the Battle of the Alamo in 1836, he later registered his cattle brand with the state of Texas in 1865. He married in Hays County and raised 14 children. His daughter Teresita Veracruz Candelaria (see next photo) kept a journal of births, marriages, and deaths.
Before he died, Pedro prepared his last will and testament in Spanish gifting his horses and cattle branded with his cattle brand.
